Andrea Halbfinger, artist and art critic, dies at 81

Halbfinger, who attended Massapequa High School, raised a family in Freeport and spent years teaching art classes while also sketching, drawing and painting vividly colored works, from abstract expressionism to the spectacular sunsets of Lido Beach.
