Tigers Hall of Famer Al Kaline dies at 85

When Kaline hit .340 at age 20 in 1955, he became the youngest player to win the American League batting title, besting Ty Cobb by a day. The rightfielder was an 18-time All-Star and won 10 Gold Gloves. Kaline was the youngest player to win the American League batting title in 1955 at age 20 with a .340 batting average. The rightfielder was a 15-time All-Star, won 10 Gold Gloves and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1980 in his first year of eligibility.
